End User License Agreement
1. Agreement
This End User License Agreement (the “Agreement”) is a contract between you and A Beautiful Site, LLC (“we,” “us,” the “Licensor”) governing your use of TongueType (the “App”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to this Agreement. If you don’t agree, don’t use the App.
2. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and run the App on Macs that you own or control, subject to this Agreement. The App is licensed to you, not sold.
3. What you can’t do
You may not:
- Copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App, except to the extent the law expressly permits.
- Rent, lease, lend, sell, sublicense, or redistribute the App.
- Remove any copyright or proprietary notices.
- Use the App to do anything illegal or to violate anyone’s rights.
4. Pricing and purchase
TongueType is free to use, with 30 minutes of live dictation per calendar month and a 10-second cap per file on file transcription. “TongueType Pro” is a one-time purchase that removes both limits for unlimited dictation and full-length file transcription. There are no subscriptions, no recurring charges, and no auto-renewals. Check the app for the latest pricing.
Pro unlocks the Mac you bought it on. If you need to use it on another Mac you own, see the support page for instructions, or get in touch and we’ll help.
5. Refunds
If TongueType Pro isn’t working out for you, we’re happy to issue a refund within 30 days of purchase. We don’t need a long explanation. A short note describing what didn’t work for you helps us improve the app, but it isn’t required.
Beyond 30 days, we still review refund requests on a case-by-case basis. If something legitimate has gone wrong (the app stopped working, a feature broke, a duplicate or accidental purchase) reach out and we’ll do our best to make it right.
To request a refund, with your order details. Refunds are issued back to the original payment method, typically within a few business days.
6. Support
We provide maintenance and support for the App on a best-effort basis. If you need help, .
7. Warranty and disclaimers
The App is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We don’t warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose.
8. Product claims and intellectual property
We are responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the App or your possession and use of it, including (a) product liability claims, (b) any claim that the App fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement, and (c) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation.
In the event of any third-party claim that the App or your use of it infringes that party’s intellectual property rights, we will be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any such claim.
9. Legal compliance
You represent and warrant that (a) you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a “terrorist supporting” country, and (b) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, A Beautiful Site, LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. If we’re liable for anything despite that, our total liability is capped at the amount you paid for Pro, or $15, whichever is greater.
11. Changes
We may update this Agreement from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the “Effective” date above. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated Agreement.
